THE VISION

Cole and Javier’s Mexican-American fusion wedding at Angus Barn Pavilion was a vibrant celebration of culture, color, and connection. Inspired by Mexican architecture and traditions, the design drew on warm, sun-soaked tones - terracotta, marigold, and lively greens - layered together to create an atmosphere that was both bold and deeply romantic. From the florals to the textures, every detail echoed the richness of heritage while embracing the couple’s modern love story.

The result was a wedding that honored tradition while feeling fresh and personal - a day where cultural storytelling met editorial design.

THE DETAILS

The inspiration began with a single piece of art: the Natasha print by High West Wild, whose palette and energy became the foundation for the entire design.

From there, the wedding unfolded into a full sensory experience - lush marigolds, tablescapes in earthy shades, and an abundance of tequila poured with joy. Mexican architectural influences were woven into the setting, giving guests the feeling of stepping into a celebration that was both timeless and transportive.

Inspired by Mexican ofrendas, this interactive escort display invited each guest to light a candle behind the couple, creating a living installation of light, love, and community.

Custom matchbooks, featuring the same motifs from the invitation suite, were displayed as part of the escort card installation and doubled as thoughtful favors.

The stage backdrop, inspired by Mexican architecture, was crafted with a textured stucco finish and layered with glowing candlelight. Potted agave plants punctuated the stepped design.

“You created complete magic and made all of our dreams come true with your guidance and creative vision, along with finding the most amazing vendors.

There aren’t words to describe how grateful we are for you, Elizabeth. We will forever be indebted to you, and you have become such a beautiful part of our lives.”
